Taking the Plunge, the DC 52 Plunge!!!!!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for most of the summer, you have to know that DC Comics is renumbering (or is it rebooting, relaunching, or restarting?) their entire main DC Universe.  A few of the characters and titles will see little change and a few will see more dramatic changes while several titles will not be returning, at least not in the foreseeable future.  Initially, we were sad knowing that some of our favorite titles like Secret Six, Zatanna and Batman Beyond were not coming back but on the opposite end, we were excited by new titles like Justice League Dark, Swamp Thing, Blackhawks and Men of War. For the majority of adults out there, having a summer reading list like in the summer vacation months of your childhood might make you gag.  The idea of being forced to read another boring book labeled a classic would dampen even the darkest summer day.  With the years of oppressive standard summer reading list shackles behind us, it is finally fun to voluntarily pick up a book and read during the summer.  At the top of The Fright Channel’s list is Monster by A.
