Quickies by Shaun Daniels and Edited by Sharon Wong

Deadlands: Death Was Silent (One-Shot)  Written by Ron Marz, Art by Bart Sears, Coloring by Michael Atiyeh, Lettering by Troy Peteri and Published by Image Comics.  Retail Price $2.99

A mute withe a magical chalkboard rides into town with a zombie on his horse.  It might sound like a bad joke or it’s just the plot to the latest Deadlands one-shot.  Has this silent killer met his match with the townsfolk, who are not what they appear to be, or did the townsfolk bite off more than they can chew?  These one-shots are either setting up for an ongoing series or fleshing out the weird western world gamers have come to know as Deadlands.

Hellblazer #282  Written by Peter Milligan, Art & Covers by Simon Bisley and Published by Vertigo/DC Comics.  Retail Price $2.99

This stand alone issue finds Constantine in the clinker, posing as an inmate, and he’s not there for the food.  Somewhere in this hellish nightmare of a prison, an ancient creature lurks, causing death and destruction.  Constantine has to stop the creature before he gets shanked or worst, ends up getting traded for a carton of Silk Cuts.

Zatana #16 Written by Adam Beechen, Art by Victor Ibanez, Cover by Adam Hughes and Published by DC Comics.  Retail Price $2.99

When a visitor from Limbo Town comes a knocking, it never ends well especially when said visitor wants to be an apprentice.  Meanwhile, back at Shadowcrest Mansion, Uriah finds herself opening doors at the mansion that maybe shouldn’t be opened.  This issue marks the last issue of Zatana but hopefully, she’ll land back in her own series again and soon.
