The battle of the sexes ended with man.  Steve Harvey’s The New York Times best-selling book, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, turned movie, #1 Think Like a Man, played women vs. men and then men vs women to #1.  Attracting audiences, female (63%) and over 30 years of age (62%), the ensemble comedy earned $33.636 million at 2,015 theaters.  Tim Story’s $12 million movie also broke the four-week #1 reign of The Hunger Games and prevented #2 The Lucky One from getting too lucky.  The Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling-starring romantic drama, like Man, charmed females (76%) but unlike Man, swept those under the age of 25 (52%) off their feet.  Nicholas Sparks’ seventh novel to screen grossed $22.518 million at 3,155 theaters.
